TWRP is gone. Goes straight to Fastboot, no matter Vol up+Pwr or Vol down+Pwr How do we fix that ?

It seems Automatic display brightness is broken in this version. It always sgoes back to minimum brightness, no matter what you choose. Second bug in this version is the Weather app. It doesn't seem to fix a location.

I have just tried to flash the 8.6.23 on my Mi8 and it seems to have broken the camera. The phone didn't boot at all (like, stayed the the Android loogo and 3 dots forever), I flashed it back through fastboot to China Stable. From then on, the camera doesn't work. I get a message "Camera error...

I'm afraid to flash this to my mi5s. Are the battery drainage problems solved? Device getting hot? Android system using too much battery ? Any feedback on Capricorn device will be welcomed.

Besides the battery drain that exists for the last 3 versions on mi5s, the device also gets quite hot and very sluggish, maybe due to agressive CPU throttling. I could't identify the reason. So I flashed 8.1.18 back and it seems much better now. Something is definitely wrong with MIUI 9.6 on...

Massive battery drain on Mi5s with this version. Also, device is hot almost all the time. Done the installation twice, every time with Factory reset. Huge difference between this and the previous. Something is hogging the CPU. http://i63.tinypic.com/25085sn.png

So far, most things working on Mi5S. Installed first the China developer through Fastboot, then Xiaomi.eu ROM after Factory reset. First impressions: 1. Visibly faster and lighter. 2. Fingerprint scanner improved vastly 3. Geolocation does not work in any program. For example the Weather app...

Same here. People often complain they cannot hear me or the quality is very bad. Happens randomly. So far, I wasn't able to find a solution. I also think it is related to the second microphone, but there is no option to swith it off. Anyone with a solution ?

Confirmed. I did exactly the same procedure on two mi5 phones. Both working fine and no issues whatsoever. Follow the procedure precisely and you'll be ok.

I did it on two 128GB mi5 WITH dalvik/art cleanup after installation. No issues on both. TWRP HAS to be 3.0.2.3

Same here. No clue what the errors are, but it's working for me. It seems TWRP 3.0.2.3 is important!

Succesfully flashed Mi5 128GB Ceramic to the Android 7-based MIUI. Nothing out of the ordinary to mention. Just download, open Updater app, choose package, restart phone to TWRP, install. All good so far. Thank you!
