Could you do a factory data reset, or a clean flash by wiping data. This normally helps in solving all issues.. Do backup your data first (photo's , messages, etc)

The GPS is working fine at my end as well, Maps and Location History are all working good

It would be great to see any video on the rom installed on Mix 2S, is there any video as I was not able to find one

Ideally you have to first unlock the boot loader you can find the steps @ http://en.miui.com/thread-1988362-1-1.html Then you can install twrp and install EU rom . do some searching on this forum, XDA (https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-5x) and google you will find good guides If still facing...

what is the link of the old rom ?

I installed the rom yesterday, looks good however the rom is slow and at times does hang, more over it does not come with gapps and once you get everything working, location history is still missing, any way to fix this issues..
