MIUI v4 ICS 2.3.23 seems pretty stable to me. I've not had any issues with it this week.

I've not had a problem with the MIUI v4 ICS builds. MIUI Recovery shouldn't be an issue as it s independent of ICS. Perhaps the USB drivers need (re) installing? There are drivers available on the Xiaomi site and I may have seen them somewhere on this site

Just to expand on 2 (d) - there is a windows application - Mi Flash available on Xiaomi's website. It is in English. If you put the phone into Fastboot up you can flash from your computer. I've only ever used it for Xiaomi stock ROM's however.

Be careful there. Some of the photo's on the 365 site are clearly knockoffs (just look at the touch buttons on the first photo and compare with the third and you will see what I mean). That doesn't necessarily mean they are selling knockoffs but it doesn't give me confidence.

2.3.16: Getting a lot of "android.process.acore" FC's with this one. Seems to start with contacts and get progressively worse. Pretty unusable right now but the camera, music, and lockscreen look sweet.

Thanks for doing this! I should have followed your advice! It all went horribly wrong. Managed to follow recover - fastboot plus backup. ICS is looking good but I am getting a fair few FC's. I am reinstalling apps to see if that makes a difference
