There are noticeable performance differences between power saving mode and other modes. Even scrolling shows notable differences on a Xiaomi device.

Coming from a Jiayu G3 before my Mi2, you can really comprehend how awesome so much power in a single hand is. If that really is the shell of the next Xiaomi Mi device, I will be bummed. :(

Still yet to try this ROM, all these positive user reviews are pulling me into it! Especially now the JLB7 version has been released, though I'm currently running the Lennox OS Rom w/ a few tweaks added in and am happy with it. Decisions decisions!

Yeah I ended up reverting to 99 haha, couldn't get 89 working, although I really wanted to see how the battery would've performed.

Have you reflashed back to QCS89 now? I wanna make a backup of the MIUI messaging app the camera app, absolutely dislike the ones found in the stock variant! Edit: seems I still have the touch screen issue of QCS89. My device must have been with the newer batches, I don't know how to overcome it :(

Wondering if anyone could make a comparison on the battery life performances with the stock Rom and any MIUI Rom? The phone seemed to feel a bit hotter when I had the stock Rom installed, recently reverted back to MIUI though.

Wow how did I not think of doing that, I am so numb today haha. So I can say it worked :) Should there be many options within the app? It seems to crash while trying to open Cpu settings, and I can't seem to find the reboot options or scroll caching options.
