    hello?

Same here. I guess it's just a bug. But you should really know your own number. Don't even know why it's there :)

    Smilies?

I may be missing something obvious, but are SMS smilies gone in the new (1.4.29) version?

    A few bugs

Not sure if this has been mentioned already but when downloading an update from the Market the progress bar cuts across the rating. It doesn't really affect the download, but hoping it is a general issue and not just me.

    Just a few theming questions

For the icons do you mean the icon background that gets applied? If so that resides in the theme.mtz I think. For the SMS bubbles I believe they would be .9.png's. In which case they need to be re-marked so that they stretch according to the size that's needed. Just do some googling to get...

    Renaming

I think you would need to decompile each .apk (Google 'apktool') then edit the 'AndroidManifest.xml', then recompile and push back to the phone. Other Launchers have features that allow this, but I think on the MIUI Launcher you have to edit it at this level.

    No keyboard auto-correct / dictionary

It is a known bug. Just search for 'gingerbread keyboard' in the Market. Should be the 2nd one down 'Keyboard from Android 2.3'. It has a full dictionary and is the same as the stock one that comes with MIUI. There is a paid version that has some extra features, themes etc, but this one is free :)

If I would buy a phone to get the MIUI ROM fully working, what phone should I get?

Well if you purely want to focus on MIUI then the Nexus S is probably the best to go for. However, as I have one I will say the Desire HD is a great choice :)

    No keyboard dictionary

Yeah, 'Gingerbread Keyboard' is the ideal replacement... for me anyway.

    Remember password prompt in browser

Yeah, I have seen this too. It's okay as don't see it that much but bugs me when I do.
