Made mistake, problem not cured, erratic signal in 3g, 2g and lte, i am using miui 7.2 stable, 7.2.3.0, anybody else using this ROM and getting erratic signal. Redmi note 2 with same sim signal is strong and steady as a rock

Just received my note 3 pro to replace my note 2, the 3g signal on the note 3 is erratic and weak, where the signal is strong and steady on my note2, I am on o2, has anybody noticed /got a cure for signal concern. Solved instead of selecting 3g network, selected LTE, this has cured my signal...

Thanks for the response, no, by switch off I do not mean just using airplane mode, I mean switch the phone off completely ( power off) as you can see powering on the phone 8 hours later, battery history is showing that WiFi and mobile network have been on all the time the phone has no power.

Hi, On my RN2 have noticed that when I switch off my phone overnight, the battery shows WiFi and mobile signal remain on, is this a problem or a false reading? See attached.

Not sure if this is a bug or not, I switch my phone off at night, but when I switch it on the next day and go to battery use, it shows mobile network signal has been active during the switched off period, is this normal behaviour??

Do not understand this, do not have twrp and have updated the ROMs you mention, downloaded onto my PC then into phone storage, went to update, 3 dots top right then selected choose update and updated fine

Just upgraded to 5.10.16 with no wipes, the update says it is android 5.1.1, on my phone it is showing as android 5.0.2 LRX22G. is that correct ????

Thanks for the clarification, I guess MiFlash is the miui version of sp flash i would have used on other andriod phones. So not a totally lost cause as there is a route back to old version of roms via MiFlash. Good to know.

I have the redmi note 2, 16gb, running 5.9.18, been following this thread and I am bit confused, 1) Is there really no way to go back from this update by any method?, if not what is the problem? 2) I do not use twrp, so is all reference to twrp in this thread that it will not work on this...

Redmi note 2, i have gone from 5.9.18 to 5.10.8 and the battery appears to be using far more battery than when I was using 5.9.18. Lost 10% in 1.5 hour, battery stats says screen used 77% of that loss, screen time on says 22m32 secs
