You should do your homework about GPS positioning. :) It doesn't matter if you see 100 or only 16. If you get a fix and decent accuracy it WILL WORK. In miui 7 you get a lot of satellites connected and also 3m accuracy. Tested with 2 devices. Mi5 64Gb each. Maybe your device is a lemon... but...

Starting 6.12.29 WAZE was crazy using sattelites. I mean.. fixing was quick .. but keeping the connection was hard. Lucky for me i knew the road.. and the way back.. and used waze only for trafic reports and police reports. Other situation.. in city, sunny day.. i lost 10 -20 times connection...

Are you sure that drain is not caused by one of your apps,...or even google play? this drain happened also with phone put into 2G only? when its the last time you flashed a rom via fastboot? Unapropriate kernel with wrong baseband can cause some drains via GSM network.

That is an known issue of xiaomi camera. We hope they will solve it in MIUI 9 - with the new camera app. They are curently reverse engineering S7 camera app for better results. :)

You have to understand, that..this guys (myself in parallel) are testing countless versions of the roms. Weekly, daily's and diff translate rom's.. till release every friday. If some of us are impressed with a version of a ROM about battery life, stability, ETC.. is because they saw MUCH WORST...

Because some people don't have to be on nougat, to squize 2.5h SOT from a rom. :) And because, as much as i hate miui 8, is still better in 6 than 7.

you didnt read the question! THE QUESTION: in this form, Nougat rom is better or worse than 6.0 roms?

did any of you tried to fastboot roms? Maybe reseting to factory standard will help. Im on 6.5.30 and im very happy with it. 75% battery and already 1.30H SOT. backup everything and fastboot a miui rom... use it for 1-2 days then revert to xiaomi.eu rom. See what happens!

Care to share with us the version you have? The one downloaded from Androidfile host is bricking devices! I was almoust there... lucky for me I have been in this situation and i didnt reboot it...instead flashed an older rom.

Mi5 prime! I tried too, with supplied TWRP ... and I had an error at the end. Something about Verify recovery if I'm not mistaken. And when I was asked to reboot TWRP returned NO SYSTEM found..are you sure? Lucky me I wiped again and flashed 6.5.30 again. mine is not hardbricked ... yet :)

Mi5 should have MpDecision implemented.. can someone check if it's working? :) I have a russian-romanian custom rom 6.5.30 who serve me pretty well. Also I have to check alpha's too... so I will not change the rom unless mpdecision works.
