till now if you used the command "boot" and not "flash" in fastboot it was possible. since 7.2 twrp is included in rom sadly as i hate twrp from the bottom of my heart.

a head to head mi4c camera/overall speed/battery/brightness comparison would be awesome

you can name it whatever you want at: settings -> notifications -> edit carrier name(s). bafta!

I had the chance to install the 7.2 for mi4c before it got taken down. Since i only boot into twrp and not flash, i always had the official recovery after the first reboot. that isn't possible anymore? (because i booted in with 2.8 yet i have a 3.0 installed.)

it is a common android bug which happens to be present in the google music player also, i have it on my nexus 6 with stock 6.0 ... a fix would be awesome ...

is it possible to install this type of new rom, just booting into twrp (and not flashing)? Man touch twrp is dangerous, you have a file explorer with otg support in it, which means all your data is exposed even without booting into the os itself ...

nah, and if you have the somewhat newest touch recovery with built in file explorer and otg support your internal storage is exposed also. i tried immediately as i saw your post, i mean the otg stuff ... i confirm also that otg doesnt work if used with an adapter, hence i use the original micro usb to type-c from xiaomi. it may be a limitation by the adapter itself because i have a kingston data traveler dual usb stick with native...
