Same device, same ROM and same problem here. I solved by resetting theme to default, Miui optimization ON, disable battery saver settings for Clock app, lock the app in the background and not running main optimization from Security app. Edit: I don't know if all of these steps are necessary...

Try to remove Gravity Box, wipe cache and reflash Xposed. What ROM are you using?

I have no problem with Xposed and Xmiui. I just use xposed-v87-sdk23-arm64-MIUI-edition-by-SolarWarez-20161126 without WSM Tool.
