Several times already I have experienced, that when in roaming I can't get an internet connection from a known WIFI router, which otherwise works on other devices (also on roaming) on the same carrier. This means that the device connects, but is unable to load any page whatsoever, no weather...

IMHO, yes, since what you describe is upgrade. The other way around, dev to stable, would be downgrade and requires clean install. But whatever you do, make a good back up

the Russian comment is that you can change it by a request to the operator, i.e. provider. Maybe you can find some info on the net..?

@spaxon, do you know if you could tell if a certain rom is for original or merged partitions, just by looking at the files in the zip?
