I've never installed twrp First flash I did was with fastboot , after that via twrp , never checked mount etc just followed installing instructions and not had issues with modem etc

I just run from the updater from the phone, twrp is already in the update rom boots into twrp just select install job done

Have you let it deplete completely 100% to 0% and charge all the way upto 100% and leave it charging for few hours after reaching 100%
