Hi! Did anyone try to unlock two phones with one permission? I have received the unlock permission SMS for my phone but I would like to unlock my wife's Redmi 3 too. It arrived 5 days ago and I can't request the unlock permission because the miui.com web site is giving me some errors.

Hm... OK. But the problem is that I have upgraded the ROM on my phone to 7.2.4 so I don't know if I can install this ROM or not. Did anyone try it? Do I need to wipe data before installing?

I don't understand... Is this the real Xiaomi.eu ROM? If it is, then why isn't the Redmi 3 phone listed as supported on the ROMs download page?

On the official Redmi 3 forum the user that is part of the MIUI device team said that it's leaked ROM and that only people that are part of the internal testing team can install that ROM. But let's hope the ROM will come out very soon :)

But, in the link the name is HM3 (miui_HM3_***) which probably mean HongMi3 (the Chinese name for the Redmi 3) and the file is located on the official miui.com web so it could be something. I just don't want to be the first to try it :D

I hope, but it doesn't say anything about the developer ROM on the official ROM download page for Redmi 3 :(

And what do I get by unlocking the bootloader? I can't install any custom ROM because there isn't any available. But let's hope that it will be available once the Redmi 3 becomes supported by the unlock tool. Sent from my Redmi 3 using Tapatalk

I'm curious... What's the difference between stock ROM that came with Redmi 3 phone and this developer ROM? I don't think that the developer version will bring multi-language because it's China version.

I read somewhere that global version of the Redmi 3 ROM will be released on 24th Feb. That doesn't mean that custom ROMs will be available. Like qbert said, the bootlocker needs to be unlocked first. Sent from my Redmi 3 using Tapatalk

I downloaded the update from updater but installing it didn't wipe my data. I guess it did download the full ROM because it took some time to download it. But my data didn't get wiped. Sent from my Redmi 3 using Tapatalk

Your methid doesn't work because once you download the update, there's no "select package" option. I could only press reboot so I did and it updated. Did someone manage to get the MIUI update 7.1.2.0 to work? I got the OTA update and tried updating twice but every time the phone downloads the update, installs it, restarts and when I check the version it says 7.1.1.0. That's weird... Sent from my Redmi 3 using Tapatalk

OK, I got the answer on miui forum. If someone else has this problem: 1) boot to recovery (power + volume-up) 2) open sensor testing 3) open accelerometer testing 4) put the phone on a flat surface and click "Calibrate" 5) once the calibration is complete, complete other tests (x-, x+, y-, y+...

I can't find the option to calibrate accelerometer in the compass app. I see it's miscalibrated but there's no Settings or some other menu. Btw, I have tried various apps from the Play Store that should calibrate the accelerometer but with no success :( Sent from my Redmi 3 using Tapatalk
