Well if the phone is rooted, it should be able to be removed. Ofcourse there are other implicates to rooting

I've been having a few issues (on the global rom). Can't connect to 5g n41, Camera app has huge battery drain (20-45%/hr), USB-C to hdmi video out not working, No option to turn off green dot. Does this rom help with any of these issues?

Partially agree. No idea about the icon limit. The green dot is an Android feature for privacy concerns to let you know if a background app is using location/camera/etc. This is the same for all phones with a new enough android. I agree it is annoying and there should be an option to disable...
