This is a well known problem with this phone. It affects hundreds of not thousands of Xiaomi MI4c users... My wife has this phone and this problem too so I had to do some research and order a new battery. My best guess is that it is a combination of 1 the battery 2 the (fast) battery loader...

I have my MI Note 2 for about 290 days. Now on MIUI 9.6 This phone has never let me down. Only the camera could be better....

Both NFC as well as Google Play work as expected. On MI Note 2.

Install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.peppe130.md5checker So you can check the MD5 checksum BEFORE flashing the new rom. I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jmz.soft.twrpmanager to flash. (I'm Dutch too)

This morning 3/4 hour ago the update for my MI Note 2 was "Coming soon". Had a cup of coffee and there it was!! Downloaded in about one minute (>10Mb/sec) and now I'm on wonderful MIUI 9.7! With compliments to Ingbrzy!:)

I have version 3.0.2 of TWRP. That internal memory is not readable in TWRP is that a permissions issue? Is it readable by Solid Explorer?

No, I just used SuperSu 2.65 . After that I replaced it with Superuser from F-Droid. Everything is fine now accept for a occasional reboot at some theme's unlocking. The email client is translated (dutch ;-) )

No good. Installed UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550 by TWRP MI2S stuck at boot logo, had to install the 6.5.19 update again. Got it fixed! Root access is not granted via MIUI permissions but by the SuperSU app.

Hey Andrey i succeeded in installing 6.5.19 on my MI2s with the updater app. However! No root. After installing UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550 with the updater app i got stuck on the MI boot logo. I installed the 6.5.19 update again, this time by TWRP. That brought me back, but still no root.

You could try to set your router to another channel. That worked for me. YMMV
