I believe this problem is there for quit some releases already. I have it too and read on the MIUI forums about it; many complains about people not able to properly connect to the Mi Suite. From what I've read so far I believe that it does work with the Stable releases but I have not tried this...

Hi, Yes, I have this problem too. Putting my Redmi Note 2 on the charger wherever I am just to keep it around the same percentage. 10% takes around 45 minutes or so. I tried different chargers and cables but to no effect. Older ROM's didn't had this problem.. There isn't insane battery...

I have 5.11.26 and I'll move the 5.12.24 tomorrow because of no reason. I like updating I guess. 5.11.26 has been the best weekly build for the redmi Note 2 for me so far. But 5.12.24 is probably not going to change much of that so I would suggest you just take the OTA 5.12.24 update that...
