    MIUI 10 9.6.5

I had a similar issue with my Whyred. While I was using the ROM 9.5.23 and Magisk 19.2, I tried the app Island but this crappy app caused a bootloop. I couldn't get rid of it without a Format Data and Factory Reset then install again the rom 9.5.23. What's pretty weird is when I installed back...

    MIUI 10 9.6.5

Did you find a (stable) version of Xposed compliant with Android 9 / SDK 28?

    MIUI 10 9.6.5

Since several roms, my Redmi Note 5 Pro (Whyred) has a small issue. Its locking screen is disabled: the screen directly switches between on and off. That works fine when I use the power button: the screen reacts almost immediately. But if I use the magnetic sensor trough the "Smart holster"...

    MIUI 10 9.5.30

My phone is in french and my translations are approximate but here are the steps to install another rom on a locked Xiaomi phone: - enable the Developper settings - in those, enable the USB debug feature - unlock your bootloader with https://en.miui.com/unlock/ and following its instructions...

    MIUI 10 9.5.23

I have to apology to the xiami.eu team. I've complained about the black graphic display of my battery level with the dark mode and a black background on my Whyred: This issue had nothing to do with the ROM. It came from the theme I used to change the system font. Setting back the right theme...

    MIUI 10 9.5.23

I enjoy this one. Thanks! BTW, the graphic display of the battery level of my Whyred is still drawn in black despite the dark mode and the black background that make it invisible.

With a LCD screen (IPS,...), the power consumption is totally unrelated to the screen display. A totally white screen consumes exactly the same power than a black one. In fact, all the leds of the screen are always on. They are obturated by a LCD layer which give the targeted display content. In...

    MIUI 10 9.5.16/17

It can be done with Automate, and probably other similar apps. I can even try to do it if you struggle to do it yourself.

No problem. I don't care yours too.

On my Whyred, this settings is named "'Dark mode" at least since the 9.5.9.

    MIUI 10 9.5.16/17

I've already complained about the invisible battery level in the status bar icon on my Whyred with the dark mode enabled and a plain black background: In fact, the battery level didn't disappear. It's only drawn in black and as the background is black too, the level looks invisible. With an...

    MIUI 10 9.5.16/17

I use: - Magisk 19.1 - a custom DPI: 460 instead of 392 - A custom font: RobotoCondensed-Regular - the dark mode - a plain black background - the full screen gestures interface (instead the buttons)

    MIUI 10 9.5.16/17

The graphic display of the battery level is the status bar keeps missing most of the time but I can live with this issue off course :) Perhaps it's related to the DPI of my Whyred: 460 instead of the default 392.

    MIUI 10 9.5.9

I don't know. To get Camera2 API enabled on my Whyred, I only had to set 1 to persist.vendor.camera.HAL3.enabled in build.prop, in more of having Magisk installed (actually the 19.1 but it worked with the previous versions as well, down to the 18):

Thank you very much. You avoid me to downgrade to the previous rom. I already found this parameter but I doubted it really override the power saving setting of each app because they are still "MIUI optimized". Finally, this overriding seems to work fine.

    MIUI 10 9.5.9

On my Whyred, the graphic display of the battery level disappeared. Only the percentage remains. This has probably happened after a game running in full screen, without the status bar. Top bar (not displayed): Graphic: Percentage inside the icon: Percentage beside the icon: By the way...

    MIUI 10 9.5.9

I've found an annoying flaw on my Whyred about the energy restriction of each app. I need a few of them to run without restriction but after each reboot, they get back to "MIUI optimized" which prevent them to work properly. Is it possible to disabled this damned "energy saving" feature...

Thanks for this awesome tip. Shame on me, I've never tried to change the dpi before. Anyway, I can confirm the charging icon of my Whyred is the same than yours with 449 as dpi.
