the more widgets (are folders widgets ?) the more memory launcher2 will take if you see force closes, increas the heapsize. (its on 32mb by default, i have it on 40 now :P )

Are you reffering to the /sdcard/data folder, in the fat32 partition ? if so, no, fat32 partitions are not usable (for now at least) for "executable" files. In fact, they don't even "hold" unix file permisions.

the part where you DID NOT specify what had been done ? :/ (thats what "quote" is for) You never mentioned that it was for "desire" tho, on the nexus section, we only have "darktremors" stuff, and that does not move the whole /data partition. Be carefull tho, having all of /data in the SD card...

stock music player allows for setting music you have on the phone as a ringtone, zedge allows you to download music/tones and set them as either ringtone or notigication sound (default or for any app)

there is no solution. As a workarround, you can download ZEDGE or some other app that allows you to set a ringtone/notification tone from within the app. One that requires you to go to settings to do it WONT work.

yes, i think so, but i have never explored custom kernels :P i heard nice things about wildmonkeys kernel, dunno what variation, for MIUI. But the same people warned that battery lasted less with it.

its under MIUI general, so..

whatsapp now has a new ui with nice bubbles. it still has the worst "message state" notifications tho. It has 1 tick for "received by server", another one for "received by handset", but you never get to know if the other person READs it or not, like kik/pingchat/bbm (on blackberry) do.

i get a launcher (not car home) force close from time to time. not relate to carhome tho, its because a memory leak, or something. the higher you set the vmheapsize in build.prop, the less likely you will see launcher2 FCs. by now, i have it set to 40mb :P

i clean dalvik and cache from time to time, and also fix the SD-ext partition and fix permisions. This problem (and the other one i reported, of the sound input failing, http://miui-dev.com/forums/showthread.php?418-Sound-Input-stops-working ), seem re re-apear from time to time.
