Your devices (Redmi Pad) are not supported by this UNOFFICIAL community, plus, you cannot unlock Chinese devices as far as I'm concerned.

Then no idea what's going on. I've noticed the lag you mention, however, it's reduced when I enable Advanced textures and 120Hz refresh rate in display settings, don't expect a huge improvement, though, the device itself is not that "powerful"
