Try 17.1 Magisk as mentioned above. Works for me on 10.11.15 Xiaomi.EU

Phone came sealed as I requested it. Phone came with China 9.6.12 so could it be a false positive or I actually don't have ARB yet

There's no lag gesture on mine. I deleted all China bloatware from it though. All swipe gestures on full screen work fine. Try to reflash the ROM you have?

Welcome. I had a similar trouble but that was because I flashed something wrong and had to reflash my Mi5s Plus. All is well now. Let us know how well it works for you
