Noticed that Magisk 21 is out, wonder if it's safe to upgrade. Currently using EU stable 12.0.6 + Magisk 21, rec is TWRP-0623-wzsx.

No it won't. Just dirty flash ROM and clear Cache and Dalvik afterwards. Don't clear Data and Storage.

How did you flash TWRP? There should be no problem following the guild. Just flash TWRP with fastboot flash command and then fastboot boot command to reboot into TWRP.

Did you try format Data in fastboot mode with "fastboot -w" command? Sometimes it works. And yes, if the newest version of TWRP doesn't work, try the second newest version instead.

Which version of TWRP did you use? 3-17? Did you try 3-13? How did you wipe your phone? If you have all stuff backuped to a computer or flash drive, try wipe your phone with "fastboot -w" in fastboot mode, it might work.

Does this mean that I have no other choice except manually download all future updates of Chrome?
