Specifically for HyperOS 1, you can try upgrading to a higher version of the launcher from HyperOS 2. I'm not sure if it's healthy to add links here, but you can find apks on Telegram or request them from some Xiaomi EU user with HyperOS 2 When a fix is available you can uninstall the updates...
