Works great, the only thing I have noticed is that personal hotspot is not working. It does activate but connected devices don't have internet access. (MI3)

For me on Mi3 ... this update messed up touchscreen. Have trouble unlicking the device as I use a pattern and touch screen goes crazy ... have to do it a few times until recognizes touches. Wiped cache and dalvik after flashing ofc. Everything else is fine.

Have something strange going on ... when I connect usb drive (formated as fat32) to xiaomi mi3 via usb otg adapter, it recognizes it normally and I can copy files to that usb stick normally. Files copied on usb stick are readable through xiaomi but nothing of the copied files can be read later...

Pasting a first post since you obviously missed it ..... Install it on your own risk! You may face constant FCs and other bugs because it's Alpha ROM. Think twice before you flash the ROM or wait for weekly ROM if you are not ready for bugs. Install via TWRP, wipe data recommended when coming...

Try downloading greenify app (donate version). It saved my battery drain and battery now last almost 2 days. It will probably take a while until devs figure out what is causing this and maybe it won't happen with future miui8 versions. Until that happens, help yourself with the greenify :)

From this version, it drains my battery completely to shut down within 8 hours (Mi3). Biggest consumer is "android system" and "android", both above 40% , everything else is below 7% as I don't use it much these days.

These stable versions .... are they the same as on official MIUI donwload pages (international stable rom), or they are also fixed to be EU friendly (localized) with working google apps for Europe ? Thank you

Usually yes and I did that but this is beyond that. This problem is with Chinese roms as they have blocked google in China. It seems that last friday's release for redmi 1 is not localized for europe but standard international english & chinese rom so that is why I have these problems. I guess...
