Yes, updated, didn't fix the problem. What's weird though is if I have multiple apps to update, some of them will update, and then usually the last one will get stuck waiting for WiFi. Doesn't seem to be a pattern to it related to update size either.

Didn't work for me. Updated to the latest Play Store version, that also didn't work. Sigh.

This was working but stopped working today. Sigh.

Downgrading to Play Store version 7.3.07 worked for me. Just uninstalled updates on the app and it worked fine, even with latest Play Services (beta version). So that's a workaround for now.

I tried this, and a variety of other Google Play Services versions, and it didn't resolve the problem. Going to try downgrading the Google Play Store.

I've just started experiencing this problem on this ROM, apps are refusing to update from Google Play. It says waiting for WiFi, but the phone is connected to my WiFi. Even if I put it in airplane mode and enable WiFi (and WiFi is definitely working), it says waiting for WiFi in the play store...

Apologies, my bad. Kind of used to people asking questions before reading the first page ;) I thought you were trying to install over OTA. Unfortunately my knowledge runs out at this point, I always install via TWRP.

You need to read the instructions on the first page. OTA install is not possible, you have to install via TWRP.

Upgraded from 7.3.2 which seemed a bit laggy and unresponsive on my Mi5, plus CPU-Z always seemed to indicate the CPU wasn't using two of the cores. This version is much more responsive and the phone is flying again. No problems found yet.

Yep, but I upgraded from Marshmallow to Nougat so wasn't sure if that was the reason.

Yes, it does. Just download the latest SU zip file and reflash from TWRP. I do it after first boot, works fine.

Working fine on Xiaomi Mi5 32gb. First upgrade from Xiaomi Android 6 6.11.10, all went well. Screen recorder is awesome - that and the new camera2 api finally made the upgrade worth it for me. No problems so far.

I have the same issue, has been present on MIUI 7 Stable, MIUI 8 Stable, and the latest xiaomi global dev build.
