New toggles grid is a cancer, phone heats up everywhere extremely fast and drains battery almost instantly.

Check it by mi unlock app. If locked unlock it and then reboot to TWRP

There is a big chance of bootloader blocking (at least I had this everytime) but it can be easily unlocked if you're patient enough. Are you sure you cleared the "System" and caches before installation? If you used last MIUI7 try 3-4 releases back. The last 7 also gave me lots of problems.

I did it myself, lol. So don't say it doesn't work.

Make app backup. Place MIUI7 pack in memory. Boot to TWRP. Clear Cache, Dalvik Cache and System. Install MIUI7. It's sure when you overwrite MIUI8 (but may also happen on my method). Althrough it's not big deal, just prepare unlock suite and continuously try to boot in into fastboot until...

Try this or this (first one haven't detected my root). Basically those apps freeze/block mediaserver, which's overactivity is the cause of high baterry usage. Cons of this is problem or even unability to play videos in browser (YT and other app are still ok) and maybe some camera/recording problems.

Are you sure it works permanently? As I said after upgrade everything was fine and it messed up after some time.

No way to disable lockscreen - after quiting dev menu option sets itself back.

I had this same when I downgraded from 8 to 7, then my bootloader locked itself and after reinstall everything was fine (but I stood on 7). Yesterday I finally updated to 8, everything was fine, but after leaving phone off for some hours I got the same issue

Does anybody know how to make custom bootsplash (not bootanimation)? I tried AIO, but it made broken, small file and HTC maker, but it doesn't work with Xiaomi screen resolution. Can anybody help me? I just want to make .img, I already go working flasher! Thanks in advance
