No notification on phone when plugging? Same result when in fastboot & rom?

So no response from pc or device when plugging in? No unknown device/usb descriptor failed? No charging on phone? Otherwise, If it appears in device manager at all, reinstall the drivers.

Doesn't it just mirror the notification shade? So it's only confidential if that's how it arrives on the phone? Try allowing notification shade on lock screen (in notification/status bar settings)?

Guessing it's xiaomi password manager/sync you are talking about? Have you disabled the toggle in settings > fingerprint > Manage passwords? You can toggle Google password sync at settings > privacy > Autofill service from Google > password manager

Use the desktop client? The app has English option, but the User Guide is Chinese

ROM comes bundles with gapps (inc play services), pretty sure that's the case for all devices. Gapps can always be flashed separately anyway... 'based on China rom' means changes have been made (like adding google apps support, better translations etc).
