Ahh, so rather than clean and lock, just do clean all, make sure it worked, then lock it afterwards. Thank you for that guide you beautiful human. Is there any way around having to wait the 7 days before you can unlock the device or is that just something you have to do and there's no quick fix?

And locking it won't brick the phone because it's a global phone and I'm putting an official flavour of ROM on it?

This is the one I care about, I have a global phone and want to flash the official EU ROM, can I then re-lock the bootloader with the MiFlash "clean and lock" function (seeing as its the official EEA ROM on a global phone) and NatWest should play ball?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah it's definitely a global version, was the first thing I checked after being sent the Chinese market version first. So, enable developer options and do the stuff you have to do to flash a ROM, do all the account stuff and wait the 7 days to unlock the phone, use...
