Yes. Instaled PDA on PC and phone. The phone when in edl mode is recognized on device manager as Qualcomm 9008...

No matter what - different pc, different cables and usb ports - i always get the same error "cannot read from port xx". Does anyone have a clue what can be going wrong?

I HAD to buy a new redmi 4 for my father and i desperately want to flash xiaomi.eu rom over the shop rom. I picked up mi flash booted the phone int edl mode and no matter what i always get the same "cannot read from port" error... Can u please guide me step by step? Other then reboot the phone...

Well i guess its the worst case scenario since i can't boot it up from the power button...

well i left it connected to the charger overnight again, and today i tried to plug it in 2 PCs, both not being recognized as qualcomm port... Is it dead? can i still do something about it so i can go back to miflash tool?

There is no light so I am unsure. I left it charging over night...I will try again

Thats the problem the power button is unresponsive, so I can't now if it's still in edl mode or...dead? Is it possible it ran out of battery?
