    9.8.29/9.9.3/9.9.6 - Last MIUI 10

I think they are referring to the exact type of rotation (reverse portrait) that I was asking to be removed :p The ROM itself has this rotation mode enabled, but it's likely those apps have it disabled in the app itself. There are various third party apps you can use to enable any rotation you...

I have an LDAC speaker and it's worked fine for me on a Mi 9 running 9.9.6. Also AAC mode works fine on my AirPods though the first time I had to manually select it as it defaulted to SBC and showed me a warning that AAC mode might not work or something to that effect. That was the first thing...

    9.8.29/9.9.3/9.9.6 - Last MIUI 10

I don't mind hacking the framework-res.apk myself to change it back, but then somehow it breaks all my notifications (not sure why) though it does fix the rotation problem.

    9.8.29/9.9.3/9.9.6 - Last MIUI 10

The problem is that if you are laying in bed and the phone is sideways, when that option is set to false, I can tilt the phone slightly toward top down orientation and it won't switch. So I can watch youtube in landscape and just tilt the phone back to portrait to choose another video. With it...

Titanium Backup should definitely be able to do it, though you should make sure to test it at least once. Also you can take a Nandroid backup using the TWRP recover which should also save it (and you can even use Titanium Backup to restore it from the nandroid backup without restoring the whole...

    9.8.29/9.9.3/9.9.6 - Last MIUI 10

Titanium backup seems to be the most recommended backup app for years now (note you must be rooted, so install the latest Magisk first). The UI is confusing as hell when you first start out, but once you figure it out it seems to work beautifully. If you pay for the pro version it even has built...

Finally Google pay working on my Mi9

I fresh installed the Android Q based 9.9.6 on my Mi 9 and had working Gpay without doing anything (at least for purchasing from the Play Store, I don't use it for anything else). Also I only use a debit card with it, never tried PayPal so maybe as @jstremmler mentioned PayPal only doesn't work...

    9.8.29/9.9.3/9.9.6 - Last MIUI 10

I just took a look, but it seems that tool just provides a more user friendly wrapper to apktool which is what I used manually. It's possible that it does something slightly different or uses a slightly different version of apktool or something, but for what it's worth I had no problems...

    9.8.29/9.9.3/9.9.6 - Last MIUI 10

So I figured out what actually caused notifications to break. I wanted to change the config_allowAllRotations boolean from true to false in /system/framework/framework-res.apk because I can't stand reverse-portrait orientation (makes watching videos in bed a pain). So I used apktool to unpack...

    9.8.29/9.9.3/9.9.6 - Last MIUI 10

Ended up doing a fresh install of the rom and now notifications are displaying again. I have a feeling I broke it when I was trying to setup syncing to Google Drive using the app "Autosync for Google Drive". I tried backing up the Android folder to keep my settings backed up but I think I messed...

    9.8.29/9.9.3/9.9.6 - Last MIUI 10

I'm on a Mi 9 running the Android Q based 9.9.6 ROM. For whatever reason, notifications are now completely broken for me since yesterday. Before they worked perfectly. Basically I get no notifications displayed on the lock screen or notification shade, also I don't get vibrations or sounds...

    9.8.29/9.9.3/9.9.6 - Last MIUI 10

So really weird, but for whatever reason, I just downloaded the Fdroid APK and it worked perfectly. Chrome downloaded it to the normal Downloads folder, prompted me to allow APK install permissions, and then I could tap the apk in Chrome's download list and install it. No idea why it worked...

    9.8.29/9.9.3/9.9.6 - Last MIUI 10

That was it! I checked and all three of the previous files I had downloaded that were missing are there! One is an apk, the other is a twrp img, and the last one is a .win.sha2 file from a twrp backup. Super strange it put these files there, but when I downloaded a test zip file from some site...

    9.8.29/9.9.3/9.9.6 - Last MIUI 10

Weird, not sure why it's working for me. I noticed I also have the "Ask where to save files" option turned on but it never asks me, it just starts downloading. EDIT: Ahh actually I think I figured it out. It must be some kind of security thing... I just downloaded a 50mb test zip file from a...

    9.8.29/9.9.3/9.9.6 - Last MIUI 10

Anyone else having issues downloading files from Google Chrome? They act like they download successfully but never get saved. I've tried manually setting the download location but when I tap the option it just shows me Downloads as the only option with no way to change it. Downloads worked fine...
