so to confirm its normal for factory reset within MIUI to not work and load up TWRP. I never know that, lol.

confused!!! The device boots ok and miui works fine. The only issues is when you press factory reset in advance settings of Miui the device just reboots to TWRP instead of resetting. Yes I could use wipe in TWRP but I want the device to hard reset from Miui so I can sell it on fleeBay.

nope + not stuck. reboot works just not factory reset

tried 3.2.3.-0930 same happens

still doing it TWRP 3.3.0-0429 by wzSX150 if that make any difference.

think I tried that but I will try again with a fresh download of the rom.

I unlocked the bootloader and loaded the EU rom to get full english and google play but now when I factory reset from Miui advanced settings I get TWRP. What do i need to do to fix this.

Found it in cwm and twrp it was the last option before you rebooted.

just double checked twrp and cannot find any root options. in fact going for reflash and a see if there is an option hiden in the flash process

So the weekly rom does not come with root prebacked in. It's an option within TWRP that I must have clicks by mistake?

guess I'm stuck between choosing miui 8 with root or go back to 7.3 stable no root

there looks to be no stable for miui 8 for mipad, only miui 7.3 :-(

I have just flashed the weekly update version of miui 8 but SuperSU appears to be on the deivce and now my banking app won't work? Do i simply flash the stable version?

So once I have resized partition 1 where can I download miui 8 from? Is it from xiaomi.eu under downloads version 6.10.13? And is this the global rom and does the dev root come with root enabled out of the gate.
