I can't remember how I resolved it, but what I do know is I completely wiped the entire firmware, installed the latest stable Android 13 [MIUI 14] for MI 11 Lite 5g (renoir) and the unofficial TWRP for it and also installed the latest Magisk Alpha + Shamiko and everything just works fine now.

Yep, works fine for me with v.2.4.0-MOD_2.0

Just boot renoir to fastboot and connect the phone with the usb cable to your PC, then from windows: open command prompt go to the dir where fastboot.exe and twrp-something.bin is then run the command fastboot boot twrp-something,bin when it boots, just go to advanced and flash this recovery...

Only the latest weekly has the new updater version 2.4, which got this issue fixed for your device. If you install the latest weekly, it will probably work fine for you next time there is an update.

@ingbrzy I was wondering why the updater never works on my MI9 LITE but does on other Xiaomi model, so I checked with Logcat and found a bug in the updater. The updater is using the wrong sourceforge URL for MI9Lite CC9 and that's why it always fails to download with "mirrors offline" error...
